Welcome to the BIPP Midland Region

The British Institute of Professional Photography (BIPP) is the qualifying body for professional photographers in the UK. We qualify, train and support photographers across all types of photography - from architectural to advertising photography.

If you need to find a professional, qualified photographer - perhaps your wedding photographer or someone to shoot your family portrait, use our free search tool - Find A Photographer. It lists around 3500 photographers who have achieved their qualifications with the BIPP. They will be qualified professionals, bound by a code of professional conduct.

If you're thinking of becoming a photographer or joining a photographic association, our programme of training courses and our mentoring scheme will help you develop your photographic career. Dear Members,

Further to ourrecent email regarding changes to the website, we’re now in a position for you,as qualified members to upload your new images and photographic categories.

In order toregister on the site and upload your images please follow these instructions:

TO LOG IN

1.     Visit MEMBERS’ AREA/MEMBERS’LOG-IN.  As you haven’t used thisnew site before, you will need to REGISTER.  

2.     To do this, you will need toinput your NAME and MEMBERSHIP NUMBER (don’t worry about adding the zerosbefore your number).

3.     This will take you to a pagewhere you are able to create a username and password, which is only known toyou. Once you’ve created these, they will need to be used each time you log-in.

TO AMENDY OUR DETAILS AND SPECIALISATIONS

4.     You will now be able to gainaccess to both the Members’ Area (including Membership Benefits, Downloads etc)and to an area known as ‘MY DETAILS’. 

5.     MY DETAILS is your securearea – you’re able to update your personal details (phone numbers, email,change of address etc); create your own BIPP WEB PAGE; pay your membershiponline or change your password.

6.     In order to improve the searchability of Find A Photographer, you need to go to UPDATE MY DETAILS and listyour three main areas of work. Please remember, clients will only continue to use this search facilityif they can rely on the results – please ensure your three specialities are asrelevant as possible to the work that you do. 

TO CREATE YOUR WEB PAGE

7.     To create your own WEB PAGE,go to ‘MY BIPP WEB PAGE’ and follow the instructions on screen.  You’re able to name your page and addup to 12 images (with credits and short description) to be displayed.  Please make sure these images arerelevant to your specialities, as they will be the deciding factor in potentialclients navigating to your own website.
